Beta Metric
This coasting analysis is experimental and shows weak correlation with actual race performance. The metric may not accurately reflect driving quality, especially at tracks with high-speed sections where slight lifts are part of the optimal racing line. Use these insights with caution.

What is Coasting Analysis?

In performance driving, momentum is key. Coasting (neither accelerating nor braking) represents wasted time where the car isn't being pushed to its limits.

This analysis detects periods where you're off both pedals in the mid-speed range (60-160 km/h) for more than 0.8 seconds. These moments often indicate:

  • Lifting off throttle too early before a corner
  • Not braking late enough into corners
  • Hesitation or lack of commitment
  • Waiting to get back on throttle

💡 Tip: The best drivers minimize coasting by carrying more speed or braking later. Every moment should be spent either slowing down or speeding up.
